You and your friends are asteroid miners in the Abstract Belt. You liked to listen to your radio station while you worked, until some aliens set up radio stations to override your channel with garbage signal! It’s up to you to destroy the alien radio stations, or get the aliens to take them down.

How to Play

Starting the game

Enter a player name, and a room name. In order to play with your friends, you must enter the same room name. You can also join a room that has already started.

The first person who enters the room name is in charge of the room. They should not leave the room until the game is over, or it causes glitches.

The Game

Fire your engines with forward arrow or w. Turn with a and d or left and right arrows.

You can hold x to activate your saw and mine asteroids. Some asteroids are minable, some are not. The minable ones have a reddish tint. If you break them they drop rescources!

Your ship integrity is in the top left corner. If you run into an asteroid, an alien, or get shot by an alien, you get hurt. If you die, you come back with all your upgrades but at 1 ship integrity and you lose all your money and data (if you have it). Fuel is another thing to keep an eye on. If you run out of fuel, you die, because your life support cannot work anymore. Whenever you move, or use your saw, or shoot, fuel is used. Sitting there also uses fuel, but not much.

Your base is the big shape just up from where you spawn. If you fly into the base, you enter it. Here, you are refueled, you can put money in the bank, and you can buy upgrades and music.

If you buy weapons tech, you can shoot by holding down s.

The aliens live in the top half of the world. Normally they just patrol, but if you go near them (Near meaning about maybe a screen and a half away) you will anger them. Once they are angered, they will stay angry until they are hurt and retreat, or they die. So if you anger some aliens and then run away, they might show up at your base and destroy it. You can shoot the aliens, or you can go up to them and spam them with the saw (Which is more dangerous).

The aliens have three radio stations they are using to override yours. If you destroy all three by shooting them a bunch, you win the game. Beware that guards will arrive to defend the stations.

You can also win the game peacefully. First, you need to start alien translation research in your base. This will allow you to collect data. Whenever an alien at full health shoots at you, you get data. If enough data is deposited in your base, a translator is built and appears below your base. If you push the translator all the way to the other side of the world, you can talk to the aliens, and possibly discover why they set up the three radio stations anyway…
